Hurry, hurry drive the fire-truck

Fireman Steve explaining the gas cylinder and its uses.

There was great excitement at Treverton Pre-School on July 28 when the fire brigade paid a visit.

The fireman showed the children the different compartments of a fire-engine, including the Jaws of Life and the generator.

He also told them what a fireman does and showed them what a fireman wears and spoke about protective clothing.
The children were then treated to a short ride in the fire engine.

They LOVED the flashy lights and sirens. The visit complimented a theme that the little ones have been covering ‘jobs people do’.
