Dr Mandela once said: “It looks impossible until it’s done.”

Eqhweni Combined School learners share the same sentiments. They demonstrated this by competing excellently in the 2017 Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, which was held on August 4 at the Ladysmith Indoor Centre.

Despite coming from a deep rural area, the learners did well. 22 learners took part and they did not come home empty-handed; Andlile Mazibuko received a medal and Noluthando Gumbi got silver medals and a memory stick.
