St Gregory speech and drama festival

Grade sevens performing their choral verse.

After many weeks of preparation, September 19 finally arrived at St Gregory Primary School.

Many excited learners were ready to perform and impress the adjudicator, Mr Brits. The festival took place over two days and the learners showcased their talents in poem recitals, sight reading, prepared story-telling, show-and-tell, prepared public speaking, choral verses, advertisements and a short play.

All the participants were exceptionally well prepared and 60 A’s were achieved for the individual items. What a privilege to nurture and discover such amazing hidden talents.

St Gregory Primary School would like to thank Mr Pieter Brits for taking time out of his busy schedule to not only adjudicate but to encourage learners.

Thank you to Mrs Russell and staff for mentoring and assisting the drama students so that they could achieve such excellent results. The school looks forward to what the learners have in store for 2018!
