Police disperse angry crowd with tear gas and rubber bullets

Protestors who gathered outside the court this morning.

Disgruntled protestors who gathered outside the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court were dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets.

They angered crowd reacted to the news that three of the men who were arrested in the cannibalism case were released.

Reports from the scene suggest that in retaliation, the protestors threw stones at police officers.

There has been no confirmation of any major injuries.
