Powerful stories captivate listeners at Forderville Library

Learners from various schools listened attentively to Miss Khumalo as she read a story aloud.

Africa Ignite used their four-day visit to help children appreciate a good story.

Tyson Penniston joins Siwe Khumalo from Africa Ignite in making some beaded work.

Due to the heat, most of the story telling sessions were held in the Activity Room at the Forderville Library from November 1 to November 4.

Africa Ignite specialise in telling stories in a memorable fashion. They aimed to do away with the idea that reading is boring.

Aphi Mthetwa puts together a puzzle.

The team also promotes reading and writing among children.

“We want children to enjoy reading as much as we do,” said Siwe Khumalo from Africa Ignite.

And the learners sure did enjoy every minute of the sessions held.
