Ntabamhlophe police officer arrested for murder

During an alleged altercation in Wembezi yesterday afternoon, a man was shot and killed.

The alleged shooter has been identified as a 24-year-old police officer who is stationed at the Ntabamhlophe Police Station.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said, it is alleged that the police officer shot and killed a businessman after an argument.

“A 24-year-old suspect will make an appearance in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court tomorrow. The deceased has not yet been identified,” added Lt Col Zwane.
