Recycling benefits Drakensview Primary School

Drakensview Primary School has an on-going project of collecting cans.

After a year of collecting, MC Botha from the collection company paid the school a visit to hand over a cheque. The class that collected the most cans was Mrs Bomerus’s grade one class.

Well done to them. This money will go towards some play equipment on the Foundation Phase playground. Recycling should happen in every home.

We have to look after our environment and send less rubbish to the landfill sites. We collect washed cans, number two plastic products, paper, other plastic.

The school is working towards getting a garden bench made from recycled plastic and just has to collect approximately 1 200 two litre milk, maas or juice bottles.
