Successful Entrepreneurs and Consumer Awareness Day

With the aim of empowering local small businesses, an informative Entrepreneurs and Consumer Awareness Day was held last Tuesday at the Estcourt Town Hall.

The event was hosted by the local municipality in conjunction with the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) and the local Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs office.

The programme comprised of insightful and engaging sessions as well as a viewing of exhibition stands. Some of the speakers that attended were from Ithala Bank, Master Builders and Builders Warehouse, among others.

All the attendees were urged to take notes and ask questions for expert advice.  Topics such as business loans, funding, training offered in the building industry and other topics were discussed.

The priority of the day was to encourage entrepreneurs to climb the ladder, drive innovation in the market, create competition and develop growth and jobs. Information sheets and business cards of the guest speakers were distributed to ensure future communication.
