Beating boredom with books at the Forderville Library

Layyah Safla enjoyed the fairy-tale ending of her book.

A few children gathered at the Forderville Public Library to beat the boredom blues ahead of schools reopening after a short holiday ahead of the second term.

Avuyonke Mtetwa and Aysha Safla stood alongside a colourful display themed ‘love your town.’

In peace and quiet, they got to take their imaginations on a joy ride in a range of story books.

Five children waited patiently for Ms Gita Patel to read to them as part of Activity Hour, which is held at library every Saturday at 10am. Ask your parents to help you sign up as a member of the library in order to borrow all sorts of books.

Aphile Mtetwa and Aphiwe Zwane had lots of fun colouring in.

Any one of the friendly staff members will gladly assist you. The library opens at 8.30am and closes at 4.30pm from Monday to Friday and Saturday, it is open at 8.30am and closes at 12.30pm.
