The #CannibalismCase resumed in court this morning and this time all four accused were in the dock.
Accused number one, Nino Mbatha has been sent for mental assessment at Fort Napier Hospital in Pietermaritzburg during March.
He returned this morning with the doctor’s findings attached to the charge sheet, Mr Mbatha was found fit to stand trial.
The state reported that the case will be postponed to April 26 for High Court Indictments. Magistrate Sookraj urged the state to make every effort to have the High Court Indictments ready on the next date.
In closing, Magistrate Sookraj announced to the four accused Nino Mbatha, Lungisani Magubane‚ Khayelihle Lamula‚ and Sithembiso Sithole that they will remain in custody until the case resumes on April 26.
