A few teary eyed locals who attended the annual Estcourt Hospice Remembrance Service on Sunday sang ‘Love changes everything.’
Arnold Zonneveld welcomed all those who attended after which an opening prayer was said. Sulochna Naidoo did a reading, which for many, brought back memories of their loved ones who have passed on.
Before delivering a message, Louis Piovesan led everyone into a moment of silence.
During his message he said: “May your feeling of sadness brought by loss be replaced joyous memories.”
In closing a very sombre feeling filled the room as each person lit a candle in memory of those dear to them. The service helped give hope and encouragement to those remaining behind. After the service, attendees enjoyed eats and tea.
