On Saturday, the art room’s heavy wooden doors were flung open for all to revel in the paintings, drawings and sculptures created by the school’s art learners.
Art educator Mr Krishna had a sparkle in his eye as he welcomed parents and learners to the annual art exhibition.
He explained that the purpose of the exhibition is not only to showcase the learner’s art pieces but to also show the more practical side to the often theory-laden academic syllabus.

“Our syllabus is not holistic and there is too much emphasis placed on subjects likes physics and maths. This art exhibition aims to show the creative side of the learners,” said Mr Krishna. Parents and fellow learners admired the works of art that decorated the walls and tables.
It was obvious that the art exhibition was appreciated by those who attended as plenty of compliments were heard and photos were taken.
